I continued to photograph rescue dogs for Halfway Hounds as a hobby, until my life hit another turning point when I was honored to be the commencement speaker at the SUNY Albany, CCI graduation ceremony. In my speech, I highlighted the importance of chasing your dreams and doing what you love. It was then I realized I needed to heed my own advice, and take the plunge starting my own pet photography business (why stop there? I included fine art in my business too 🙂 ). I threw myself into learning photography with the laser-like focus I’m known for (both my bane and my blessing). My photography, art and technology background have all grown to compliment each-other.
My love for animals goes way back. When I was ten, my mother asked me what qualities I would like to have in my future husband, and I responded with only one requirement: he must love animals. I now live in Saratoga, New York with my animal-loving husband, our three cats and our daughter Fiona. I continue to feed my love for rescue pet photography by photographing adoptable dogs and cats from local animal rescues, shelters and foster homes.
