Canines, Cats and Cocktails benefit for CLAWS

This was my first year attending Canines, Cats and Cocktails – the annual fundraiser to benefit the Closter Animal Welfare Society (CLAWS). I was so impressed! The volunteers and board members of CLAWS spent countless hours preparing for this benefit, including many, many hours on the phone extracting gifts and donations. I was amazed at how many prizes there were in the tricky tray. A great night filled with great people, and I was honored to have my photos on display!  But the best news?  A few of the adoptable pets on display at each table were adopted!!

I’m not sure if I love how the tilt in this photo gives it a wacky, fun feel, or if it drives me slightly insane. A little bit of both. 🙂

Unfortunately I only managed to steal away from the great conversation for a few shots after most of the prizes had been distributed. This entire area in the beginning was filled with baskets of prizes!

The commotion with giving out so many prizes caused some of the canvas’ to get tilted. This photo is enough to drive anyone with OCD to the brink.

At least it is symmetrically tilted on the other side! 🙂
